Atheneum Publishers is publshing its 8th edition of Black Women of the Old West, first issued in 1995. The Schomburg Center for Research in Black History and Culture, which sponsored a book party for the book when it first appeared, will sponsor a party for the new edition. Katz is also available for Powerpoint presentations for colleges, schools and museums. When it appeared Black Women of the Old West received enthusiastic reviews from the New York Times to the African American media.
